Event Details

Four separate rounds will feature unique themes at distinct venues. Finalists from each round will be invited to perform at a Finale event. Each round includes an info session & auditions, a masterclass, to be held at the Little Red School House. The top 10 auditions from each round will earn a opportunity to perform for judges with a live audience. Performances will be held at various venues around town. 

NOTE: Contestants may enter as many rounds as they wish, but will not be selected as a finalist for more than one round.

Finale

FINALISTS

 Each stand-alone round will culminate with the judges selecting finalists, to include first, second, and third places to be showcased in the Finale! One runner-up will also be selected to perform in the finale, should one of the others not be able to do so.

PEOPLE's CHOICE AWARD

The audience will also have the opportunity to "vote" for the People's Choice Award at each round by purchasing votes! The contestant that raises the most money is the clear winner, as ALL the donations received will directly benefit Performing Arts organizations in Wickenburg! The high point winner of the People's Choice award will be invited to perform at the Finale!

TALENT ROSTER

 Finalists from each round will be included on a “Talent Roster” as a community entertainment resource, and may be invited to perform at events such as the Music Walk/Tree Lighting, Fly In/Car Show, opener for Friends of Music, Webb Center, etc.

Requirements

WGT is focused on developing the Performing Arts in the Wickenburg area. 

• Performers must demonstrate talent through vocal/instrumental music for rounds 1, 3, and 4. Round 2 will also be open to dance.
• All ages are welcome to try out.
• Categories include: Youth <18/Adult, Amateur/Pro, Individual/Ensemble, Music/Dance, Singer/Songwriter, Other.
• Parents of contestants under age 18 must sign the application on the youngster’s behalf. A Photo/Video release will be required.
• Contestants must reside within 25 miles of the Wickenburg Town Hall, or attend WUSD. (e.g., Wickenburg, Congress, Aguila, Festival, Morristown, Wittman).
• Performances must be suitable for a family audience.
• Performances should be approximately 3 minutes in length, but may not exceed 5 minutes (not including a two-minute setup period).
• Microphone, instrument input, and Bluetooth will be available.
• Performance areas vary between venues. The Community Stage is 25ft wide x 15ft deep.
• The use of knives, fire, pyrotechnics, smoke effects, or other dangerous materials which could cause injury to performers or audience members is prohibited.
• A maximum of 10 performers will be selected to perform for judges in each round.
• Contestants may audition for one or more rounds, but they cannot be selected as a finalist for more than one round. 
• Entry Fee: $20 per contestant, per round. No fee to participate in the Finale.
• Prizes: The top three finishers in each round will earn prizes.
